New China Wilmington - Temp. CLOSED: A Fusion of Chinese and Japanese Flavors

The food was really good, however for my own personal taste, it needed more salt. I got the moo goo gai pan. Once I added some extra Soy sauce and a little salt it was more to my liking. HOWEVER.. that being sad, it really didn't bother me that much. I realize there are many people who really need to watch their sodium intake and i feel that overall this restaurant caters to everyone's needs, as far as flavor. A simple addition of the soy sauce made the dish absolutely perfect for me. We ordered for carry out, so i didn't get the opportunity for a full review of the service and all of the restaurants atmosphere. While it most definitely isn't a modern set inside, I found it quaint and cozy. It was clean to the best of my view. The cashier was really sweet too. Would definitely order again.

New China in Wilmington is hands down one of the best takeout spots around! The food is always hot, fresh, and full of flavor, with generous portions that make it totally worth it. Orders are consistently accurate and ready fast, even during busy times. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the quality never disappoints. If you’re craving classic Chinese food done right, New China is the go-to spot every time.

I’ve been coming here for 15 years at least. This was my first time eating in. Always usually get lunch menu or carry out. Always a great experience. Tonight we stopped and ate in. The misses got General Tso chicken and I got Hunan Beef xtra spicy. We got crab Rangoon as an app. The only issue we had was there was practically no crab at all in the appetizer. Tasted like cream cheese only with a tiny hint of seafood flavor. The general tso chicken was good like always. Came out hot and fresh with lots of flavor. Nice size portion too. Now my Hunan beef came out so fricken hot and fresh. Vegetables were fresh and the beef was tender. I asked for extra spicy and it had a very nice kick to it. I opted for the house fried rice as well and that was very good. The egg roll that came with it could have been bigger but it was tasty. I especially love the hot mustard. Cleans your sinuses out and is super delicious. That stuff goes on everything. Absolutely love it. Anyway..the wait staff was friendly, kept drinks topped off, and checked in on us. The place was clean inside too. I highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

People say this restaurant has had it ups and downs over the year. We’ve only seen ups. We always enjoy our Chinese food in Wilmington. It’s a bit of a hike for us, but when we do make the trek it’s worth going. And it certainly tastes better than anything we have where we live!

The servers are all very nice and friendly and help each other, they pay attention to drinks that need refills before running out, they bring food piping Hot and the flavors are absolutely the best we've ever had especially the orange chicken. We will definitely be returning to this location again in the future.

This place is my go to sushi place in the area. They always do an amazing job, the food is such high quality for a good price. I love the lunch specials. I highly recommend this establishment!

This is THE place to go. My fiancé and I come here religiously, they know our order and are the nicest people. If you like shrimp tempura try the monster roll you will love it, it is absolutely fantastic! The crab Rangoon and egg rolls are absolutely phenomenal. We have never had a bad experience here! Here are 2 of the times we’ve gone and gotten some different things. I like the fact that you can get Chinese and Japanese food. I had the shrimp tempora roll and green dragon roll. Both were really good. I also liked their miso soup that I ordered two of them.
